An innovative digital tool to identify and respond to emerging skills needs in the tourism sector at local and regional level.


Purpose of the tool
Developed under the European project Tour-X, the WatchTower aims to:
- Provide real-time monitoring of workforce skills gaps in the tourism ecosystem
- Deliver region-specific insights tailored to different tourism models (e.g., coastal, cultural, eco-tourism)
- Create a bridge between SMEs, training providers, and policymakers through evidence-based intelligence

Tourism Workforce Skills Needs Survey

This survey aims to identify current and emerging skills gaps, workforce competencies, and training needs in tourism SMEs across regions.

The findings will directly inform the development of tailored training programs, curricula updates, and policy recommendations through the TourX Watchtower initiative.

Data Import
Please submit official or publicly available documents that provide insight into labour market conditions, skills needs or employment trends, tourism workforce developments. Examples include labor market reports, regional government publications, and industry statistics.
